1. Make Free Throws - In the first matchup, West Virginia made 15-of-20 free throws and won going away, 77-61. In the second game, the Mountaineers missed 17 free throws (!) and needed to hold their breath in the final seconds of a two-point win.
2. Rebound the Ball - West Virginia is +15 in rebounding in the two games against Texas Tech, but more importantly, they have dominated the offensive glass. In the two games, WVU has missed only 40 shots from the floor, but they finished with an amazing 21 offensive rebounds.
3. Protect the Ball - It has not cost them the first two times through, but West Virginia has turned the ball over 35 times against Texas Tech this season, for an average of 17.5 per game. The Mountaineers have forced their fare share of turnovers from the Red Raiders as well, but it should not be a surprise that Tech was +12 on points off turnovers in the nail-biter in Morgantown.
