  • chris, after seeing derwin gray and yannick go to maryland. will wvu ever get an elite class or will it be wishful thanking every year? its frustrating i thank i speak for all of us!

    Dude we alrdy have 3 4stars, and 3 3stars. while this site is good for recruiting dnt pay attention to the grades on recruits on 247, go to espn, they have the best, bc they havr the best ppl and the money to go watch any1 they want, rivals and scout suck too, the world wide leader is where its at

  • I would say this site probably rates them the best based on the people they have brought here. I would put 247sports, rivals, and even scout ahead of espn in terms of rating players. Just because our players are rated the highest there doesn't make them the best in any way

    That has nothing to do with it, look at last yrs rankings, espn had our players lower than scout and rivals, and nobody has better ppl than espn, lol r u serious, this site is the bestt of all the other wvu sites, but espn is the best at everything, stop kissing @ss on here mj, espn has the best of the best.

    Ummm.... Are you new to the recruiting game? You do know that when 247 was created(by Shannon Terry, the same guy that created Rivals) he went out and took... Yea.. TOOK the best analysts from Rivals AND ESPN, right? JC Shurburtt was ESPNs very best analyst, and Shannon went and scooped him right up.

    Educate yourself on national analysts before saying ESPN has the best. ESPN is better than Rivals(only because Shannon stole all the analysts worth a damn) and Scout, but everyone is better than Scout. I rank them like this..

  • ESPN has an agenda always. Their rankings are horrible same as their sports coverage anymore. The guys that started 24/7 are the same guys that started writing about recruiting.

  • I tend to agree with mjscragg 1. 247 2. ESPN and the rest I don't pay attention too. As much as people hate ESPN they do a good job of explaining a players evaluation the rankings have fairly been the same with ESPN and 247. ESPN giving slightly higher grades but they are both within the same ballpark.

  • Having listened to JC a lot on the Bill King show, I believe they do look at recruits before they grade them

    An opinion is only worth what you are paying for it.

    Lol, to me that is even more subjective. Given, some coaches appear to be pure genius with their recruiting and how they engineer championships. Then on the other hand you have coaches who recruit big classes and can't win with them. *Shrugs* It's all conjecture.

    I agree. I made a post with some comments to that fact that weren't well received a little while back. I just gave my honest opinion. I asked the question of how well does everyone think we would do in the Big XII while recruiting mostly mid to high lvl. 3 star recruits. I reiterated I thought as time played out we would be mediocre and get our buttas handed to us. Others seemed to disagree.

  • Our recruiting is really not that far behind ou and osu ... Texas is another animal in itself but even they are having issues with top5 classes year in and year out... We get the looks now from top recruits but arent pullin them in quite yet This team has the tools to succeed for atleast the first few years becuz te depth is actually there ... This year is gonna be great 2013 will be a lil down with a freshm qb but ford is the real deal WVU will be able to compete with the big boys

    High 20's - Low 30's. That is where we usually end up in recruit rankings. That is not terrible. I think you predicting WVU to get their ass whipped speaks a lot about you. Nice faith you have in Dana and the rest of the staff.
