In case you did not notice, Clemson scored 33 points against the 3-3-5. That's not a good total! It will never work in the Big 12!

I like Casteel but that is now 8 out of 10 bowl games where WVU has given up 30 or more points with him as DC. The only 2 times WVU held the opponents under 30 was when the D was loaded with seniors and NFL talent. I think his D will do OK in the Big 12 but it might be good to get a different style that is easier to learn and the young guys can execute better. I am torn between Casteel leaving and changing Defenses.

Casteel is not as good as some of the bandwagon people think. Why couldn't WVU stop Syracuse? The worst team in the Big East put up 49 points against the 3-3-5. Most of our games this year were close. Casteel sees the handwriting on the wall. A lot of very good D coordinators out there are waiting for the chance to go to WVU. He won't be missed.

I was wondering how WVU was going to get rid of him now, after the Orange Bowl. I know Coach Holgerson didn't like him.

Casteel is taking his bag of old tricks and moving in with Rich Rod. WVU won't suffer.

Jeff didnt bail on the team when they needed him most. Remember that little beat down we gave the sooners! He had a whole lot to do with that. So before you all start bad mouthing him and his defense go count the wins in the last 8 years!
