I'll be doing a full breakdown of the 2012 Roster in the next couple weeks...... but this is a good look. It's certainly promising.
As someone pointed out in my 3-3-5 article, the year directly after one of the Top 10-15 seasons, the defense regressed immensely with all the new faces.
Next year, with a lot of the starters returning and tons of experience even for the backups, does it improve?
Just to note - Chestnut, Rose and Bruce are all redshirting, so they'll be "Freshmen" next year.
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional !

Wright will get the majority of the play at nose, much like he is this year. He and Clarke have been "starting" all year long and getting a ton of snaps.
As we've talked about before, they're each out of position one slot.
In an ideal world, next year's DL looks like so....
NG - Shaq Rowell continues to develop and live up to the potential he's shown since he was a 4* DT committed to Ohio State a few years back.
DT - With Rowell manning the middle, Jorge Wright can move over to his more natural position.
DE - With Wright moving up, Clarke can go back to the havoc-wreaking weakside end that he was born to be.
Again.... it all hinges on development at NG. Otherwise Wright plays out of position in the middle, Clarke out of position at the DT and an inexperienced player (Demko?) gets time at DE.
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional !
