Some kids don't want competition. We are better off without those kids. Let him go show his talents against UMASS and Bowling Green while striving for that MAC championship. Karl Joseph, KJ Dillon and others will be showing there talents against Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas State, ect...

I agree, moves like this show a lack of maturity IMO,then again it could be Cosby's pudding pops. We will be fine without him we have equally talented guys in this class that actually WANT to be here and WANT to prove themselves, thats what make this program what it is more times than not.

I think the young man just wanted to be closer to home. Not a big deal as far as fans go (coaches probably feel different and they should).

I also believe this is a big loss. Smith is an excellent special teams player and someone I felt could come in and contribute from there.

I think we need to relax wIth bashing these kids with their choices. These are their life choices not urs or mine. We all think differently and have our own motives for the choices we make. Would I like for every great athlete to choose WVU of course but that is my alma mater as for these kids they normally don't have an emotional tie in to the institution as we do. With that said, our days of getting by and producing diamond in the rough prospects is over. We are headed to the big 12 we will now need to pull blue chip prospects year in year out.
