Um. Wisconsin played in the Rose Bowl last year and almost won, while we were getting gutted by Cuse in the snow. don't throw stones.
I won't say we are better off at all. Yea, it would have been harder for him, but if he is as good as many think he is, he still had the Fall to take over a position that is WIDE open.
If Millard loses the qb battle and he transfers for playing time this is gonna hurt. And anybody that does not think so needs to look at the depth chart. We could possibly be one injury away from a freshman starting at qb that is not known for his passing abilities.
Somehow I knew this would happen. Well Chris, what's the plan now?
I think there are questions at both places but IMHO alot more at Wisky now with the coaching change. Other than that coin flip and we came up losers on him, Oh well.
This only seriously matters if Ford is not as good as advertised or is not ready to take over the position yet. If Ford is the man, Tanner would have probably ended up transfering after losing out on the QB competition anyway.
Sounds familiar to another recruit from this class...a certain WR who is very close to his mother : )
Agreed, how was I trolling though? Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If I'm your idea of a troll, I'd invite you to look over at our website next time OSU is playing. Good luck to you guys on signing day.
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
not you so much, just the whole idea of it. which is just why i dont understand why wiscy people are even looking at threads on here in the first place. You should have seen our site when Shelton Gibson committed. Flooded with Ohio State people rationalizing why he didnt choose them.
Ive always liked Wisconsin. I live in buckeye land basically, so Im all for you guys being as good as it takes to beat them.
Good luck to you as well.

What kind of dumbass backward logic is that?
"Ohio State fans are assholes to us so that makes it okay for me to be an asshole to West Virginia fans."
He wasn't an asshole. He didn't say anything until a poster insulted Wisky here and he still hasn't said anything that bad about us. He's using Ohio St. fans as evidence of real trolls to show that he is not a troll. Let's just move on
I for one enjoy hearing from other fan bases (providing of course it can be a civil discussion). That being said, I am not sure this thread is encouraging other posters from various teams to stop by?
Perhaps it is questionable that some Wisconsin posters just coincidentally showed up at a time they landed a kid we were recruiting as well....but they seem pretty tame and did not appear to fire the first shot. I just hope this place does not turn into the Louisville board, where if poster from another school stops by (regardless of post content) they make it their mission to downvote as often as possible.
I have been on the sidelines for a couple games at Camp Randall and it is a great atmosphere up there. The Badgers enjoy their football.
i agree with all of this
my only point was the first part of your second paragraph.
He was fine, i for one didnt downvote him ( i hardly ever do to anyone)
I can assure you Dustelli isn't trolling and I'm not trolling this time. Only reason I stopped by was just to see if it was a hard loss for you guys. I don't know what other fanbases thought of the kid so I just wanted to see, especially since it seems like your coaches have cultivated a longer relationship with him. Not trying to rub your face in anything, but I'll stick up for my school if it's getting ripped on.
i can respect that, so would I
it was a definite loss, but not crippling by any means. We have a 4 star kid that redshirted this year that people are really high on. We could have definitely used the depth hand competition though.
What hurt you was your friend "rednexican" feeling the need to immediately post a "hahahahahaha"... everyone knows what happens when you back a dog into a corner.
haha he's a WVU fan...
What keeps me going. WVU Football and Alaskan Wild Salmon
i saw that, i figured he was a wisconsin fan too. Looked at his profile and nope. Not sure why this is so funny. I guess different people deal with disappointment in their own way.
bottom line, it does hurt. We are thin right now at QB. We have guys on the roster but only one who is highly regarded and the other could be a diamond in the rough. hard to tell.
I would have liked to get him...
I was going to be fine either way if we had got him or not. I'd rather take two next class if possible than one at the end of this class (besides Rawlins).
I know you guys probably haven't been paying attention to Wisconsin at all this year, but I assure you outside of Maryland, Wisconsin probably had the sorriest QB situation.
-Started out with Danny O'Brien
-Switched to Joel Stave, a RS Freshman walk-on after DOB blew games for us
-Stave gets knocked out against Michigan State, Danny O'Brien loses us the game.
-Replaced by Curt "Robo-knee" Phillips a RS 5th year Senior. So-so game managers, no arm strength whatsoever.
-2 other quarterbacks were out for the year before the season even started with season ending injuries.
While it looked a lot better this year, we are by no means in the clear. Tanner just has a clear cut spot to win in Wisconsin's new system which is looking for a mobile QB in a pro-style system. Bart Houston, a heralded recruit, is the only one with some sort of resemblance for a good Big 10 qb, but is unproven. Stave had a big arm, but couldn't make the good throws. If Tanner is any good and can grasp the situation, I'm confident he'll be in good competition for the starting job this year and my guess would be that he starts from the next year going forward.
If you guys are looking for some of the reason that Tanner picked us, those are some of them. WV has shown time and time again that Mobile QB's can have wild success. Would've been a good pick either way.
Wisconsin's program is superior to ours in many ways ...I am not sure why some of you think that Tanner is off to some poorly run program ..
Better attendance in both football and basketball
Madison is one of the best college towns in all of college..
Both the Kohl Center and Camp Randall Stadium are both superior to our Field House and Mylan Pulsar Stadium..
In addition UW has been to the last three Rose Bowls ... they are 40-14 over the last 4 years .. they are a force and it does not suprise me in the least that Tanner picked UW ..
Can't argue with that Mustang. Thanks for the info.
