Hopefully this helps us with Tanner McEvoy
Oregon has secured a verbal commitment from Texas athlete Damion Hobbs tonight.

Some people think football is a matter of life or death, but it's far more important than that.
My heart sunk there for a minute thought Mcevoy was off the board!!!
I think our target ends up in Madison ... the Badgers have proven they can take a QB from another team ... Russell Wilson for example ... snd take him to the next level ...
...and Danny O'Brien?
Danny O was terrible when he played for the Terps ....terrible regaardless where he would have played...
Regarless I still think he ends up as a Badger...
Yes, that Wiscy trip does scare me. However, with Oregon getting a commit from a quarterback other than Tanner McEvoy. I think it should help us out in the long run. I think Chris is right in his prediction with Tanner McEvoy that he becomes a Mountaineer when he signs his LOI on Feb. 6 or after that date.
That happend 1 time, Wilson would have went anywhere and been good, he was awesome at nc state, they kicked our ass bad in that bowl game
An then there were three.....
All I'm saying is they don't convert all transfers into stars.
Also have to remember that was with a whole different coaching staff.
Hello all, I just signed up because today I overheard a phone call with Mcevoy and his HS coach and while nothing was definitive the general gist of the convo was Mcevoy telling his coach he felt comfortable at Wisconsin and really liked it. They brought up WVU in the convo as well and they mentioned that we have 2 young viable QBs on the roster. It certainly sounded like he is favoring the situation in Wisconsin. Take it for what its worth.
I sincerely hope you're wrong about that TDCity23. I would like to have Tannery McEvoy in the old gold and blue uniform in the future. I hope that future is Feb. 6. Thanks for posting the information and welcome to the board as well.

Thank you. I hope im wrong to. I wish I could recall what was said verbatim but all I remember was thinking to myself "shit that doesnt sound good for WVU"...they did mention something about Holgorsen and how hes a good guy and coach. Lets just hope he thinks a little more about the potential of being in a Holgorsen offensive system.
I just don't have a warm fuzzy about Tanner. While we have been in his top 3, every time a school drops out, he adds another to his favorite list.

yeah, I think Oregon was the least of our competition for him since it is farther from home and they have a starting QB back for 3 more years.
