Hell yeah! I guess this means no greyshirt for Marcellus
Good deal. Now, word on Coleman would be even better.
Montani Semper Liberi
nealry 1500 yards production as a junior and about a 25 YPC average.
thanks, Chris for keeping us so well-informed!
I'm new around here and I appreciate the quality of your work.
is the plan still to gray shirt him?

He could still be greyshirted....but maybe they think it would be better to do his rehab in Morgantown
on the grey shirt .....his signing locks him into WVU until next Feb
Great news Chris. What do you think changed? Thanks.
Great news!! Now w a year in a strength and conditioning program, I really believe his shiftiness can do us big in the long run
By announcing the scholarship, it looks like WVU is convinced that JM will qualify or has a very good shot at doing so.
That's good news. Hopefully, he will be ready to participate in fall practice!
I don't think the issue with Jacky was about him getting qualified, it was more about his injury. I could be wrong though.

I doubt that he'd take a greyshirt. That would mean he'd have to pay his own way for that semester. Most out of states kids can't afford that. If his knee isn't ready a redshirt is more in line.
I don't think you have to attend the school for the grey-shirt semester. Just a semester off. Most of those guys take Summer classes anyways so I doubt it would take him off track.
Regardless, the press release reads, "has signed... grant-in-aid to attend West Virginia and play football for the 2013 season". That means he'll be given financial aid in the Fall. Awesome for him, I think with some college S&C he can be amazing for this offense. It feels like NSD again!

His name sounds like a character in "Pulp Fiction" I love it!
If he were to grey shirt he wouldnt enroll or take ANY classes at WVU until the Spring semester 2014 and be like an EE ... He wouldnt rehab in motown but still be at home
He could still take a grey shirt but he wont, the plan is for him to enroll in june and be about 90% at the time he arrives and then compete for playing time and if not then redshirt of coarse

What about Coleman n Lane? Any news
will he be a slot guy or will he lineup in the backfield or both?
Kid is gonna be a stud. He has great vision and his cuts are sick. I like that we got enough WRs where we could keep him at RB If we want. The plan for him was to move to WR right?
Yes the initial plan is for the IR (inside receiver)
I am sure you are right MJ. I just answered someone's question that his signing means he cann't greyshirt. He can but think it is a better idea to get him to motown, rehab and then redshirt if he is not ready.
If he decides to Greyshirt this season, he will have to sign another LOI next year, (actually he would be treated similar to a transfer). Greyshirt is not a technical term recognized by the NCAA, it just means a kid isnt a part of the team for a semester or two. They can chose to stay home or actually come to Morgantown and attend class on their own dime, like Scooter Berry.
