I know we didn't have a choice. With a simple yes or no do you like WVU in the big 12?
For football yes but for basketball no. We would of probably got beaten worse in the Big East this year then we did in the Big 12 but before all these new conference alignments, there was nothing better then watching Big East basketball.
That's not exactly a simple yes or no answer sort of question. YES instead of the ACC, Big East, Conference USA, or being independent etc. NO if the SEC or Big 10 had wanted us.
The reason it's not a simple yes or no answer question is because context is unavoidably important regarding us being in the Big XII.
Yes and of course. It is such a excuse for some fans to blame a bad season on a conference. It was not a good team
Like I said we didn't have a choice. As far as basketball is concerned I watched big east bball even when we didn't play and still do.as far as football I find it hard to watch games that are not even in our time zone.I miss rival games and game in our recruiting grounds. The stadium and the coliseum are gonna get harder to fill after the newness wears off.
1. big East basketball doesn't exist anymore so you won't be watching
2. Are you joking? You don't watch the highest scoring league in the county because of a 1 hour difference? You must not watch nfl. And most of our games were at the exact same time in football. They eat the time zone with 11, 2 and 7 starts. Not the east coast. Plus a good bit of the sec and big10 play in that time zone.
What rival games? Pitt, Penn State, BC, VT, Miami, cuse have all moved on. You miss playing teams we just started playing 7 years ago?
And the big East traveled worse than any big league in the country. It will never get harder to fill the Stadium then in the Big East. USF brought under 50 people some times.
You get excited playing teams other than Texas and Oklahoma in football?
As a matter of fact I do miss playing va tech,Miami, pitt, penn state, you can't tell me that Iowa state, Baylor,TCU are more intriguing.
Im not doing that. We were just not good.
Yea every one of them is better than every program in the Big East.
Baylor just win a heisman, built a gorgeous new stadium and has one of the hottest coaches in the game.
TT just hired the best young coordinator in the game.
Kansas State is the definition of blue collar football and a great fan base and program
Ok State has a coach everyone has tried to get and is one of the best teams over the Last 5 years.
Tcu has another coach everyone has tried to get. Is on a really need campus outside of Dallas and is one of the most successful programs the last 10 years.
Isu and kansas have a better fan base than anyone in the Big East and have had success in the past
Texas and OK are all time top 10 programs
As a matter of fact? They all left before us. It was gone. Some 10 years ago. Others 25 years ago. The rest last year. What does that have to do with it. We never even played all those teams in the same year

I agree there's no question the big 12 as a whole is better than the big east all im sayn us u miss the regional rivalry games
I miss the rivalry games.
Drop the mic, kid.
You're right Coastal. However, this team was built for the ruggedness of the Big East. Not for the style of play in the Big 12. Other than the travel, I feel we are in great shape. I think that with the expansion that we (Big 12) will go through, we'll (WV) will be very happy.
Without a doubt, yes
O yes, the only thing better in my mind would have been a switch to the SEC for the obvious geography/money reasons but other than that love where we landed. I would like to play a few teams that are a lil closer like maybe Penn State or VT or tOSU but wouldnt want to be in those conferences over the B12.
Yes. And we won't even think about asking that question next year.
Yes....nobody else wants us but the MAC....do you want to be in that leftover Big East or whatever its new name will be
1000% yes!!!! The question doesn't even need to be posed
Not so far, but that's jaded by having a horrible season in our 2 biggest sports. If we had done great, I'm sure I would feel differently.
