I read in the Dennis Dodd's article on this that the deal could be worth even more with 11-12 teams. So see the way I read this is it now puts us in better position to go "shopping" for expansion. We are now in the same ball park as the SEC & B10 with this & significantly higher than ACC. This puts us in great position to negotiate with the FSU/Clemson/MD/ND to lure in an even bigger piece of the pie. Rumors of anywhere from 2M-8M per team bump when the 11-12 teams are added, depending on who it is. That is why I really dont care to hear the Lville & Cincy names being mentioned cause there are much bigger fish out there to be caught!

This is my understanding as well. The ACC deal tops out at $15 million per team and that includes Tier 1,2 and 3. Our new Big 12 deal does not include Tier 3 or a conference championship game. The Big 12 deal allows for expansion so ACC teams could be assured of $25 million a year, a 75% increase.
