What is he talking about from about 3:50 - 5:00. What did WVU have on the BE?

He touched on this on the show with Hunter, and other posters have mentioned it. We would have just left if it was not settled or if the Rhode Island courts forced us to stay. One state injunction cannot force another state to act..therefore a injunction mean nothing.

I heard it more as WVU had something the BE didn't want to come out, so he knew there would be a settlement. If not WVU was going to walk anyways. My theory may be based on the part of the settlement that allows for no disparaging comments going forward.

If we had something more we would not have paid 4 times the 5mil to get our early ..we paid more than any other team has ever paid to leave a conference. The ones that left the big12 paid 46% of what they were supposed to and only Texas AM gave the proper notice

Anybody have a view on just how important it was to the Big East lawsuit that we filed suit against the Big East in WV before they filed in Rhode Island?

It kind of seems like the argument about one state forcing another state to do or not do something favors the first to file. If that is the case pretty heads up move by the WVU administration.
