McCrary (pictured) and Parker give WVU three receivers in this class.
After weeks of hinting that it was coming, and over a month after telling EerSports that West Virginia was "obviously on top of my list," Booker T. Washington (FL) wide receiver Lamar Parker has committed to the Mountaineers.
“I just feel like that’s the right school for me, how they run their offense, how they throw the ball,” Parker told EerSports. “I like how they can get the ball in my hands and let me do my thing.”
According to his coach, Tim "Ice" Harris, Parker had already spoken with an assistant coach about committing earlier today (presumably lead recruiter JaJuan Seider), but just needed to confirm everything with Dana Holgorsen this evening.
Parker is a three-star, .8621-rated receiver according to the 247Composite.
Joining Parker will be Coral Reef Senior (FL) wide receiver Jacob McCrary. The four-star prospect had long been recruiting on behalf of the Mountaineers and made his desire to join the class official this evening.
"Yes sir, I committed," texted McCrary after several telling tweets.
McCrary picked West Virginia over the likes of Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and many others. He accumulated 756 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on only 31 catches so far at the high school level.
He holds a three-star, .8772-rating from the 247Composite.
