Your morning look back, around the headlines and into the future.

On This Date:
- West Virginia has an all-time record of 12-3. The most memorable of those games may have been the 1997 matchup down in Miami. Amos Zereoue out-dueled - to say the least - Edgerrin James, rushing for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while James was held to 71 yards. WVU came out on top, 28-17.
- In 1955, former forward Stan Boskovich was born. Playing two seasons for West Virginia (1975-1976), the Pennsylvania native averaged 17.7 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 50% from the floor.
