- West Virginia has an all-time record of 9-4. In 1993, the Mountaineers continued their road to an undefeated regular season by dominating the Missouri Tigers, 35-3. Jake Kelchner threw for three TDs, but it was the West Virginia defense that ruled the day, picking off four passes and sacking the Tigers' QB four times.
- In 1979, former forward Brooks Berry was born. The Virginia native started 47 games for West Virginia, averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds.
