- In 1944, Hall of Famer Ron "Fritz" Williams was born. In three seasons, Williams averaged 20.1 points, 6.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds. He passed away in 2004.

- Woodbridge (VA) assistant coach John Harris confirmed last night that the plan is still for 2014's No. 1 recruit Da'Shawn Hand to visit Morgantown this Saturday, his second WVU game in three weeks. 2014 prospect Marcus Boone will also be with them.
