- In 1971, Jeremy Bodkin was born. Bodkin suited up for Gale Catlet from 1990 through 1993 and averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds during his time in Morgantown.
- In 2008, safety Terence Garvin committed to West Virginia. Slotted as a starter again this fall, Garvin has accumulated 150 tackles, seven pass break ups, five sacks and two interceptions in his first three seasons.
- In 2010, both Nick Kwiatkoski and Jared Barber committed to West Virginia. Kwiatkoski redshirted last season while Barber backed up at middle linebacker, registering 22 tackles and three pass breakups.
