- In 2010, wide receiver Dante Campbell committed to West Virginia. Campbell redshirted last season and will be fighting for playing time this fall.
- In 1983, former defensive back Anthony Mims was born. Mims suited up for the Mountaineers from 2002 through 2005 and finished his career with 118 tackles, six for loss and three interceptions.
