On This Date:
- In 2004, Frank Carduff committed to West Virginia. He suited up for the Mountaineers from 2005 through 2007, but never lettered during his time in Morgantown.
- In 1992, current shooting guard Aaron Brown was born. As a freshman last year, Brown averaged 4.2 points while shooting over 39% from beyond the arc.
- In 1962, former wide receiver Rich Hollins was born. In three seasons, Hollins caught 104 passes for 1,981 yards and 16 touchdowns. He ranks near the top of the record books for the Mountaineers in all three categories.
