Alex Gall (75) is the latest to receive a WVU offer.

On This Date:

- In 1959, former Mountaineer center Junius Lewis was born. In four years manning the middle for West Virginia (two as a starter), the 6-foot-11 Lewis scored a total of 694 points and pulled down 470 rebounds.

- In 2006, long time Sports Information Director Shelly Poe was selected to the College Sports Information Director Hall of Fame.

- Also in 2006, three members of the football team - Pernell Williams, Tyler Benoit and Chad Mayse - were kicked off the football team.
