- The basketball team has an all-time record of 14-11. In 1961, Rod Thorn had 22 points and 23 rebounds to lead West Virginia to a 105-90 victory over Furman. Jim McCormick added 28 points and Jim Ritchie had 21.
- In 2008, Brantwon Bowswer committed to West Virginia. In two years as a backup defensive back, Bowswer had 16 tackles, two pass breakups and an interception.
