- In 1972, former defensive end Steve Perkins was born. The Florida native started 25 games and finished his career with 97 tackles, 11 for loss, 11 sacks and four pass breakups.

- Yesterday, Chavas Rawlins, DeShawn Coleman and Hodari Christian were each named All-State at their respective positions and divisions. Elijah Wellman was also presented the Huff Award as the top defensive player in West Virginia. Marcell was named First Team All Group and Second Team All-State in New Jersey. Al-Rasheed Benton was named First Team All Group and Third Team All-State in New Jersey. Tyler Tezeno was named Second Team All-State down in Texas.

There will likely be more awards to come for West Virginia commits.
