- West Virginia has an all-time record of 10-5-1. The most recent win was a thrilling 38-31 victory over Louisville in 2007. Pat White overcame three fumbles by breaking free for a 50-yard touchdown run with a minute and a half left in the game. He finished with 147 yards rushing, 181 yards passing and three total touchdowns.
- In 2006, defensive back Derek Knight committed to West Virginia. He played in a couple games in 2008 and lettered in 2010, but never recorded an official statistic before graduating.
