Morning Mashup - 1/14

Your morning look back, around the headlines and into the future.

On This Date:

- The basketball team has an all-time record of 22-8. In 1970, the famous "fish game" of the Backyard Brawl occurred. After a technical foul was called on Pitt, West Virginia's Wil Robinson stepped up to shoot free throws when a Pitt student threw a large fish onto the court. Robinson would finish with 17 points, leading the Mountaineers to a 67-66 victory.

- In 2002, wide receiver Rayshawn Bolden committed to West Virginia. The backup wideout caught 13 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown during his time in Morgantown. He also accomplished the rare feat of being credited with a rushing touchdown despite never running the ball. In 2006, Pat White broke free for a big gain, but fumbled at the four yard line. Bolden, who was blocking downfield for him, scooped it up and ran it into the end zone for the score.
