- The football team has an all-time record of 4-4-1. The most memorable win was the 1993 victory over Boston College that gave the Mountaineers an undefeated regular season. BC led 14-3 early in the fourth quarter, but a touchdown run by Rodney Woodard followed by a pass to Ed Hill with 1:08 left in the game for a 17-14 win. Also contributing to the win? The defense forced five turnovers, including three inside their own five!

- The basketball team has an all-time record of 5-4. In 1977, WVU Hall-of-Famer Maurice Robinson controlled the game in an 85-50 win over Farleigh Dickinson. He scored 18 points, pulled down five rebounds, blocked four shots and had two steals in only 25 minutes.
