Your morning look back, around the headlines and into the future.
On This Date:
- The football team has an all-time record of 6-8. The most memorably - and most recent - game was a 21-20 victory over Boston College in 1994. A late touchdown pass from Chad Johnston (his third) to Zach Abraham (his second) gave the 'Eers a lead and the defense, led by Charles Emmanuel (10 tackles), did the rest.
- The basketball team has only played one game - a 74-71 victory over Vanderbilt in the 2010 Puerto Rico Tip Off. Casey Mitchell shot lights out, finishing with 31 points and making six three-pointers, while Kevin Jones put up a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds).
