- The football team has an all-time record of 10-9. The most recent was a 28-23 victory over Cincinnati in 2003. Pat White ran for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and Steve Slaton added 103 and another score.

- In 2009, big man David Nyrasuk committed to West Virginia. He failed to qualify, however, and ended up at NAIA Mountain State. When MSU lost their accreditation, he transferred to Cincinnati and will suit up for the Bearcats this fall.
