Morning Mashup - 10/26

Your morning look back, around the headlines and into the future.

On This Date:

- West Virginia has an all-time record of 5-9. In 1996, West Virginia was ranked No. 12 when No. 25 Miami came to town. The Mountaineer offense stumbled to only seven points as Chad Johnston was 13-of-27 for only 127 yards. Mike Logan and Vann Washington led a tight defense, but Miami was still able to score just enough to win, 10-7.

- In 1964, former wing player Renardo Brown was born. The Michigan native played for WVU from 1983-1986 and averaged 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.

- In 1934, former All-American guard "Hot Rod" Hundley was born. In three years, Hundley averaged 24.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists for WVU before being drafted with the first overall pick in the NBA Draft. After a six year professional career, Hundley spent the next four-plus decades working the broadcast booth, most notably for the Utah Jazz.
