Your morning look back, around the headlines and into the future.
On This Date:
- West Virginia has an all-time record of 10-5. The most infamous game was a loss in the Backyard Brawl in 1970. Up 35-8 at halftime, head coach Bobby Bowden decided his Mountaineers needed to "sit on it" and switched to a conservative gameplan. That proved disastrous as Pitt came storming back in the second half and won, 36-35.
