- West Virginia has an all-time record of 11-3. In 1962, the Mountaineers traveled to old Pitt Stadium and defeated the Panthers 15-8. With the 'Eers down 8-7 and pinned inside their own 10 yard line in the 4th quarter, Tom Woodeshick busted loose for a 49 yard gain. A few plays later, fullback Tom Yeater scored from four yards out for the come from behind win.
