'Eers in the NFL - Saturday

West Virginia Mountaineers

Pat McAfee (IND) – The “Boomstick” was out in full force on Saturday as McAfee launched four punts for 200 yards – an average of 50 yards a punt with a long of 64. Each of his kickoffs went into the end zone and he also knocked an extra point through the uprights as the backup kicker.

Will Johnson (PIT) – Johnson got the start at FB and carried the ball one time for two yards. His play of the game, though, was lead blocker on an Isaac Redman touchdown run in the second quarter. He’s a strong candidate to make the team next Friday.

Mortty Ivy (PIT) – Ivy was disruptive on defense and registered three tackles for the Steelers Saturday. He will likely make Monday’s cut down to 75, but is in a battle for the 53-man active roster.

Ryan Mundy (PIT) – Mundy played his usual role for the Steelers, backing up at safety and playing special teams. He registered three tackles on the day and is a definite to make the team.

Corey McIntyre (BUF) – McIntyre continues to start for the Bills at fullback and received a lot of recognition for clearing the path for the Bills lone touchdown of the day.

Owen Schmitt (OAK) – Schmitt has been backing up Marcel Reece at fullback and will likely make the team. He didn’t register any stats on Saturday, but caused a stir when the Raiders lined him up at wide receiver a handful of times. He was targeted on one throw, but the ball fell incomplete.
