West Virginia's Tavon Austin added to his Co-Special Teams Player of the Year Award, by being named to the All-Big 12 First Team..... twice.
Austin was named First Team All-Big 12 at both WR and KR/PR.
Austin was recognized both at Wide Receiver and Kick/Punt Returner. He led the conference in receptions (110) and was third in both receiving yards (1,259) and receiving touchdowns (12). As a return man, he was second in both punt returns (165 yards) and kick returns (738), and was the only player to return one of each for a touchdown.
Joining him on the First Team All-Big 12 was fellow wide receiver, Stedman Bailey.
Bailey, a finalist for the Biletnikoff Trophy awarded to the nation's top receiver, was second in the Big 12 in both catches (106) and yards (1501), but almost doubled everyone else in touchdown receptions with 23.
Record-breaking quarterback Geno Smith found himself on Second Team, finishing behind Collin Klein, the league's Offensive Player of the Year.
Smith threw for 4,004 yards, 40 touchdowns and only six interceptions this season.
Also on Second Team was senior center Joe Madsen, who was Second Team last year as well, albeit in the Big East.
